The Pink City🌆

The water palace ~ Jal Mahal

Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal. This low-rise symmetrical palace, that once was a shooting lodge for the Maharaja, appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. The light sand coloured stone walls of Jal Mahal, Jaipur are at a stark contrast to the deep blue of the waters of the lake, while from the innards of the palace lush foilage sprouts.
When i visited there at once i thought this is the most best terrain i ever visited but after 5 minutes i found that it is the place only for photographers. There is nothing to view there other than this palace. At once, there used to be gondolas which would provide romantic boat rides across the lake but these rides stopped 5 years ago. Apart from the small market stalls and camel rides there is not much else to do at Jal Mahal.
Nahargarh Fort ~ Jaipur
Nahargarh Fort is one such majestic and magnificent fort, situated in the Aravalli mountain ranges in Jaipur. Nahargarh means \’abode of tigers\’ and was named so after the tigers which were believed to have roamed around the hills. It is also believed that the fort was named after Prince Nahar Singh Bhomia. There are many structures within the fort – a temple dedicated to deity of Jaipur monarchs, another temple dedicated to Prince Nahar Singh Bhomia, a 2-storey building known as Madhavendra Bhavan named after Sawai Madho Singh who built it and Diwan-I-Aam, an open enclosure where the kings used to meet common public to hear out their grievances.
